Centrifugal fans are commonly used as suction machines for high-air volume, low-pressure air-suction devices.
Centrifugal fan mainly consists of three parts: impeller, casing and frame.
The impeller is the main component of the centrifugal fan. Its external dimensions and internal blade geometry directly determine the performance of the fan. Generally speaking, in the case of the same diameter and the same rotational speed, the fan with a wider impeller generates a larger amount of air and a lower air pressure; the fan with a narrower impeller has a smaller amount of wind and a higher air pressure. The backward curved leaves are more efficient than the forward curved leaves, but the pressure is low. Figure 3-2 shows several types of vanes for centrifugal fans. Centrifugal fan casing is scroll-shaped, welded with jaw plate. On the side of the housing and right on the round air outlet, a square outlet is provided in the direction of the scroll.
